  • Michael Holloway if you need further help with lens studio just respond to this message I'm actually pretty good at the things that you're struggling with such as Face expressions, 3D modeling, and importing the textures and materials for the 3D object.

  • What I need to know is how to create my 3D oject in Blender so that I can import it into Lens Studio with all it's colors and textures.  I have a 3D object, a head, but when I import all that shows up is the gray base that I mapped the face onto.  How do I get the colors and textures to load?  Do I have to do something with it in Blender?

  • Hello again I made a youtube video its only 1 minute long from exporting and importing with blender and lens studio and applying textures if your textures are not showing

If you need anything else send another message.

Sorry, it took a while for someone to get back to you for help!

  • Nope. Still needing something in Blender for preparing it for import into Lens Studio. I can follow your clicks and export a *.glb file and then import that into Lens Studio, but the model does not show up. The triangles and blendshapes counters in the View 2D scene window remain at 0.  I've tried to triangulate the model in Blender by adding the triangulation modifier and applying it. What else is necessary?

  • Can you send me your project with your exported model?

  • Hold up. I nearly missed the "instantiate" click on the model name, then had to figure out that it was a right click.

Many thanks.  That seemed to have been the largest chasm in my learning how to do this.  I can at least get the thing into Lens Studio now. You'd think that this simple step would be spelled out somewhere instead of being a secret handshake.
