TED Talk Lens (Trend)

After being flooded with tons of videos using the “TAD Talk” filter (from instagram) on TikTok, and seeing how much of a trend the filter has become on other platforms, I finally gave in and went ahead with making it for Snap.

I figured many people (like me) don’t ever use instagram filters and frankly don’t really like how difficult it is to search for ones anyhow. So I think people end up looking for the filter (lens) on snapchat instead. Since nobody’s really jumped on the task, I hope it performs well and people seeing the videos on other platforms will find this lens and will use it with their friends and post it to spotlight!

I spent an entire day recreating the lens in lens studio. I feel like a tween and 3D design expert now btw!😂

I made it behave just like the instagram filter, but with my own design tweaks and I improved on how the zoom/sound sequence is triggered. it’s activated by tapping the screen, rather than at a certain point, which I think is a lot more practical. I didn’t use any logos or brand colors from TED so that there won’t be copyright concerns. I’m pretty sure using “TED” in the title is alright since it could be someones name or whatever. But if issues arise i’ll just tweak the wording and re-upload. Let me know in the comments what you think about this.
