[Tutorial][Snap ML] Blend Modes!
As many of you might know, Lens Studio's example project for making ML lenses doesn't allow you to change the blend mode of your ML Component in real-time. Most of the time it resets on you and if you don't know to hit the reset button you can lose out on knowing that there are blend modes to choose from. For example, this is my pool water lens from lens studios example project (picture 1) and then by changing one texture (picture 2)
I wanted my lens to look more like you were under the water rather then you being the water. If you want to check it out click here: https://www.snapchat.com/unlock/?type=SNAPCODE&uuid=fa5fd996a7a94046be34947f2a23b894&metadata=01
Its a super simple fix, but allows you to look at the blend modes in real-time with no side effects as far as I'm aware of. All you want to do is open your lens studio example project for ML, head over to the Orthographic camera, and click on your output image. Change the texture in the inspector panel to output1 proxy texture.
And there you have it, you can now change the blend modes in lens studio for ML in real-time without it resetting on you! Also, have fun trying different alphas if you want to add in other effects!
Happy Creating,
Ryan Shields
