How to make Alpha Picker/Slider

  • hi Lena

    lets have a look at the UI system

    first to edit an alpha image we need to call an image

    // @input Component.Image image

    second we need the code that change the image alpha

    // @input float alpha = 0.5 ;
    var currColor = script.image.mainPass.baseColor;
    script.image.mainPass.baseColor = new vec4( currColor.r, currColor.g, currColor.b, script.alpha );

    nice
    now notice that script.alpha its the value of the alpha that changes and infect the image alpha

    we need to replace script.alpha with a value that's already in the UI system

    there is a variable called ( currentValue ) that detect the value from 0 to 1 depend  on the position of the touch position

    now we need to inject a the code to the UI system in the script ( UIColorPicker )

    it will be like this

    // @input Component.Image image

    var currColor = script.image.mainPass.baseColor;

    script.image.mainPass.baseColor = new vec4( currColor.r, currColor.g, currColor.b, currentValue );

    put it in line number 526

    now every thing is ready to set

    notice in inspector panel a new image need to be selected

    now just select your image and try the UI if its working

    nice

    you can download the project from here  to try it on your pc

    if you need any help just let us know

    Cheers.
