Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.

Minimum Requirements

Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core i3 2.5Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6Ghz with 4 GB RAM; Intel HD Graphics 4000 / Nvidia GeForce 710 / AMD Radeon HD 6450 or better; screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher

Hi Benjamin!
You can create the Glass material in Lens Studio in the Resources panel:
If you select the glass material, in the Inspector panel, you can modify some properties depending on how you want you glasses to look.
The default shows you how you can use the red and black color of an image to change the glass opacity under the Opacity Mask section.
You can also do it without opacity texture, by disabling it (unchecking the box).
If you want to make the glass fully transparent, you can just set the base color to a completely transparent color
