  • Hi allChuckdup,

Have you downloaded the latest version of Lens Studio, as well as the Snapchat app's latest update? Make sure your Snapchat app has successfully updated, and let us know if Chris's solution still doesn't stick!

    Cheers,

  • Hi Neha,

Ya I made sure Lens Studio and Snapchat are updated and I'm still getting the same results. The effect works in Lens Studio but not in Snapchat when I push the lens to my iPhone X.

    Thanks,

    Charles

  • @allChuckdup I am getting the same error as you... It works in Lens Studio Preview but when I try and push it to my phone it doesn't work at all. Any help on why we are both getting this error would be awesome. I hope someone has a fix...

  • Hey guys,

In the new version of the Lens Studio the way that render target is working has been little bit changed.

So I updated the project file to works with the latest version of the Lens Studio.

Also I added an example for painting. In the project file by disabling the "Masked Image" object and enabling the "Painting Example".

You can download the project file here:

  • I know this is an old thread but I did download the latest project that Amir posted and I can't get the painting on effect to work.  I clicked on the painting example and even changed the brush material from black to white.  Anyone know how to get this working??
