Problem with Shortcut
I will be working on a Lens Studio project when all of a sudden the application will close and when I try to reopen the app using the desktop shortcut I get this error. "The item 'Lens Studio.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly." I've tried to reconnect but it hasn't worked, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled but it just ends up crashing again. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Hello Brittany,
Can you take a screenshot of what you see?
Ah,you got that one.
Do you know where you installed Lens Studio at your computer?
If so, locate it, and you will find Lens studio.exe
You can then, right click and make a shortcut there.
Let me know if you don't know where you installed it, and i will go into details how to find it.
I located where I installed it but I don't see the Lens Studio.exe in any of the files
Strange, Do you have any anti-virus on the computer?
If so, which one?
It might have looked at lens studio as a threat and removed it. This happens to lot of people.
It looks like there is Micro Security Agent/Windows Defender on the computer
I am not familiar with Micro Security Agent, Do you know if there's a way to add programs to whitelist?
I know you can do it on windows defender.
I think I added it, the shortcut disappeared completely once I did. Do you think I would have to reinstall?
You will need to reinstall.
Did you get any pop ups alert from any of the anti-virus?
I reinstalled and it crashed again, then I got this pop-up alert.
Here's a guide how to restore the file your anti-virus deleted.

If you didn't pay for anti-virus, i recommend using Malwarebytes

Thanks for your helpful responses n-mikael! How did n-mikael's solution work for you Brittany? If the problem persists, please let us know by submitting this bug/crash form.

I believe the solution would've worked, although it was beyond my knowledge so I had IT help. They were unable to solve the issue, therefore I just downloaded the software on a different computer instead. Though the other computer has the same antivirus software it didn't block it this time, strange.
Hi Brittany,
Good to know! We'll keep this in mind incase another user has the same issue.
Cheers,
