Old lens of mine no longer works?
Hey there.
I created a couple lenses for a character I'm doing work for. The first one I made about a year ago, and a new one I published just this morning.
After my new lens had settled for a couple hours, I started getting messages from people telling me that the first lens I published is no longer working. Perplexed by this, I tried scanning my old lens myself and sure enough, I get a message that goes along the lines of like "Something went wrong." without much clarity of what the issue is.
At first I figured snapchat just doesn't allow multiple lenses from a single user being live at the same time, but apparently this issue started happening towards the start of last week, and I didn't make my new lens until this weekend. Lens Studio (most current version) currently reads that both lenses are live as of right now.

anyone know whats going on here? possibly just old and needs to be updated?
Do you still have the project file?
If so, try to open the project and check if a lens studio tells you to update the project file to a newer version.

Make sure to include your Lens ID.
Ah, I do need to update it. will do. Will the filter start working if I do this? Will I need to update the snapcode in any way?

The snapcode is the same when it gets updated.

I'm glad n-mikael was able to help you out!
For future reference, as stated in our FAQ, Lenses remain live and unlockable for one year after the last update, or until you deactivate them. This is because we make many changes to Snapchat and Lens Studio throughout the year and can't guarantee a year-old Lens will work in the latest versions. To keep submissions alive past one year you only have to resubmit the Lens in the latest version of Lens Studio.
