User experience problem with Lens Studio: UNREASONABLE TOO MUCH MEMORY USAGE AND FREEZES (Hardware)
This issue is not about file size limit or memory usage limit from Snapchat's lens filter. This more on hardware problem, especially the RAM memory
Whenever I open Lens Studio while closing other apps (and excess no. of tabs in Google Chrome which I dependently needed for research) that I don't need in order to maintain 50-60% of memory usage, the memory usage from RAM suddenly jumps or exceeds to more than 100% for no apparent reason that frustrates me. I always check on Task Manager to monitor my memory usage and appears to be fine so that I can move on. As I go on editing longer, the memory started jumping so fast, consuming 3,000 to 4,000 amount of RAM and keeps inflating until my whole laptop is in freeze state which forces me to restart the laptop if I didn't end task early with Task Manager.
By the way, my laptop's spec is running on Intel Core i7 and 8GB RAM. I want to take notice about this sudden surge of memory wastage that forces my laptop to consume above my RAM capacity even if I done nothing wrong or even only doing for only little task when using Lens Studio.
I wanna wish for a new update that resolves sudden surge of unreasonable memory usage the longer I run.

Hi Karolina,
I have sent you a reply under this thread from your email. :-)
Thanks,
David
I too experience issues with LS every single day. The software crashes on me. The crazy thing is, I have a really good system. Alienware R6 Aurora. This system should be able to handle anything LS throws at it but yet, it freezes and crashes every day.
Hi Dominique,
We are happy to look into it but first, we would need your help in sending us the specifics of the problem. Please try out our new bug/ crash report form in the forum here for quicker help!
Cheers,
Karolina
I did change my camera to snap cam, however the image won't display up. In place of the photo of the digicam link, it shows the emblem of snap digicam. Btw i exploit zoom.
new to this lens studio thing and am noticing right off that the importing of a 3d asset (face mesh) is taking a long, long time... the importing text and round-d-round timer arrow goes on and on and on... etc. with no indication that the import has completed... is lens studio just a big memory hog program...? my system particulars are these:
HP OMEN 25L Desktop Gaming Computer
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz
8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
