Geolens or sponsored lens unlocked with code?

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Lens Studio - can be downloaded here, is a real-time tool for creating Snapchat Lenses. It allows you to create both Face Lenses (front camera experiences) and World Lenses (rear camera experiences) and it will generate a Snapcode. The Download page has all Lens Studio License Agreements listed. All Lenses made in Lens Studio have to comply with our Lens Studio Submission Guidelines and Community Guidelines. Please note that Lens Studio doesn't currently allow for external links so you won't be able to provide the user with a link to a page with more info or to purchase tickets. You could perhaps print out Snapcodes of your Lens and place them at events as Lens Studio Lenses cannot be geofenced at this time nor set to appear for a certain amount of time.

You could also pay to promote your Lens. There are three ways to promote Lenses on Snapchat:

    1. Use Snapchat’s self-serve tools to bid on ads where users can ‘Swipe Up’ on video or photo advertisements to play with a Lens.

    2. Pay for an audience-targeted Lens, served directly in our camera. This is now available through Reach & Frequency buying in self-serve. Please contact us to request access.

    3. Take over Snapchat on a single day. Your Lens will be featured first in the Lens Carousel for all Snapchatters. More Information here.

    Cheers,

    Karolina

  • Hi Karolina,

could you please explain how the following lens has an app as attachment? Was this custom made by Snapchat or is this a flow that is configurable in the self-serve tool?

  • Hi Moyosa Testing,

Yes, this was a custom made Lens by Snapchat and is currently not possible to create with Lens Studio.

    Cheers,

    Karolina

  • Thanks Karolina!

So how would you go about involving Snapchat (for business) in a project like this? We would really like to know what solutions we can propose to our clients and would love to work with the Snapchat dev team.
