Thanks for submitting this issue.
Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.
Still, we hear you loud and clear, and are logging the issue in case there's ever a workaround we can provide!

We have exactly the same problem here.
It happens on all fbx file we tried, even on very simple ones (a sphere).
Hi Fabien Motte and One More Admin,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
Have you downloaded the latest version of Lens Studio here yet?
If you already have and the problem persists, please follow the OS appropriate approach:
If you have a Windows machine, please post your exact Windows version, as described here and other system information such as CPU, GPU, etc. (which you can find out by following these instructions for system information and these for graphic card specifications).
If you have a Mac, please post your exact MacOS version, Memory and Graphics details by following the instructions here.
We will try to resolve this problem as soon as possible, but first need your help in sending us the specifics of your machines.
Thank you for your answer!
Yes, I'm currently the last MacOS Lens Studio version (1.7 released 2018-10-18).
Here are some debug informations about my hardware configuration :
We already have the latest version of Lens Studio.
GPU : Quadro K2200
We use Windows 7 Pro SP1, which is unsupported by Lens Studio, so I guess it's the reason why we have this bug.
One More Admin, it's possible that's the case but we'll still investigate given it's still not working on Fabien's supported Mac. I'll get back to you once we figure out what is causing the contents to stay in your resource folder.
Can we flag this as high priority? I'm experiencing the same issue on OSX Mojave and it's severely hindering our workflow. Once an FBX is imported, none of the resources contained therein can be deleted.
Thanks for letting us know that you too are having an issue with this. We are actively looking into the issue and will report back once we have a solve.
Same issue here (as reported here):
Thanks for letting us know that you too have this issue. This bug is critical and we are working to fix.
Same problem for me. Should I upgrade to Mojave?
does this affect file size?
@miguel - It doesn't seem to. I've just created a folder named "_ARCHIVE" in my resources panel and drag anything I can't delete into there. Also, Right-Clicking on a resource and choosing Update From Source / Relink to Source keeps you from generating too many useless prefabs.
It does affect RAM tho
This should be fixed in the latest version of Lens Studio. Please download the latest version here so you can delete the models properly again.
Just wanted to let you know this is still an issue in 2.1.0 on MacOS Mojave. We are creating quite a big SnapCode-tracker based animation. But due the crashes of removal of the FBX's we can't find an easy way to prototype this instead of making a new project every time we update the animation.
Could you let me know if there is a tip or trick to force removal of FBX files.

Hey there, I'm having the same problem, now halfway through 2021. Was there ever any workarounds discovered for this issue?
