Issue with combined "World" and "Face"
-
Hey Stephen,
You can ensure the Lens starts in the rear camera by configuring your project info:
- Click Project Info at the top left
- Select that your Lens works on “Only Rear Camera”
For more details check out this link.

Ummm... but I need to WORK on both cameras, but START with rear camera. If select "Only Rear Camera" isn't that going to disable the face part? The doc you reference says "Both Cameras (for Face and World experiences). " As i said we are combining face and world.

Hey Stephen,
The
Lens Works On
drop down allows you to set which camera needs to be open in Snapchat for the user to see the Lens in your carousel. Here you can set if you want your lens to appear on the Front Camera (for Face Lenses), Rear Camera (for World Lenses) or Both Cameras (for Face and World experiences). It won't actually disable the face part, but rather indicates which carousel your Lens will appear in.
We recommend you use Both Cameras so users can find your Lens later in both carousels. That being said, if you select Both Cameras it will default to opening in the front camera. If you select Only Rear Camera, it will open in the rear camera when you unlock the Lens as you originally desired.
Best,

I see. Thank you for the detailed explanation!
"Lens Works On" is a bit misleading for the label of that setting. It made me think that I had to set Both or one of them wouldn't work at all.
