Hello all, I'm trying to do an art demo using Snapchat's World Lenses, and we have a tight time schedule. One member of my creative team has created what he calls a "look-dev plate". It is a high quality (2d) render that looks exactly like what our final output will be (sans animation, and from a single perspective since it's just a picture).
My team needs to contact our printer vendor to get stickers for the event, and we wanted to put a snapcode on the stickers (the are 2in by 2in so theoretically they can be scanned from just over a foot away) and allow people to collect them.
It is going to take our animator longer to create a rig and animation sequence for a cleaned up version of the model in the "look-dev plate" than how much time we have before we need to send our printer an image of the snapcode to get the stickers in time for the art show.
So my question is, since the "look-dev plate" looks exactly like the 3D mesh that will eventually populate our filter's scene, and the animation is just an "idle" animation, can I publish a lens of just the "look-dev plate" as a texture on a plane to get a unique snapcode for it, and then later resubmit the project with an animated 3D mesh of the same subject? This would allow us to obtain the snapcodes we need now and still have more time to animate before the show. Is there any policy against what is technically a major change in scene, when the visual output (and creative direction, and guideline eligibility) is the same? Can I resubmit the lens with the 3d animated mesh (that looks exactly the same as the plate it's just actually 3D) and expect it to have the same snapcode (assuming the lens meets all general requirements for eligibility)?
