Okay so I'm a little upset. I made a gorgeous sugar skull lens and it was rejected for being "potentially offensive to a particular group of people".
But there is another sugar skull lens that has been featured on the Snapchat website.
Why would one sugar skull be okay and the other not? And who gets offended by a sugar skull anyway?? So ridiculous.
I'm 1/8 Hispanic so they can't even play the "cultural appropriation" card with me.
I'm pretty upset right now because I had a substantial amount of time into that lens and the fact that it was rejected is just absolutely ludicrous.
Sorry about this, following up with you directly and we can see if we can get it resolved.
Natasha, is there a way for indigenous to give submissions a heads up to avoid anything like this happening?
It might be challenging to stop the initial takedown, however, if this rejection was done in error, we can generally get it fixed pretty quickly as we did for Rhonda.
If you have issues, please let me know.
