Lens Studio project isn't opening. Error message says : Project was not loaded, exception in engine.

    Can you download the latest version of Lens Studio here and let me know if you're still running into issues running the program?

    I have downloaded the latest version of Lens Studio (1.0.1) and I get the same error message when I try to create a new project or start from a template.


    Project was not loaded!

    Exception in engine!

    Unknown data type: 53743


    I am running on Windows 8.1, Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU, Nvidia Geforce GT 635M GPU.

    Unfortunately at this time Lens Studio does not support Windows 8. On the download page we list out our system requirements:

    • Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit); MacOS 10.10+
    • Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz with 4 GB RAM; GPU with OpenGL 2.1 support (Nvidia GeForce 8400, AMD Radeon HD2000, Intel HD Graphics 2000 or better); screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher

    We can add support of Windows 8 to our feature request list though.

  • Copy and paste this text into your TerminalCommand Window
    open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
  • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
  • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
    Locate the Log.txt file right above it.
