Can I make a lens for someone’s birthday?

  • Yes, this is possible. You can take down a lens by going to "My Lenses" (Window -> My Lenses). Then, select the lens entry and press "Deactivate". Also, happy birthday friend!

  • No wait, like am I allowed to make a lens for someone in particular?

  • No, Lenses don't support targeting to a specific user. If you were to just share the lens to that user, they could possibly share it to others or post to their story which will allow viewers to get the lens.

  • but Snapchat will still allow this lens to be used if I add her name in it? Or maybe some pictures using the frame template.

  • Hey Immadragonl0l,

Just make sure you have the rights to use the content in the Lens. Also check out these other guidelines if you're concerned about passing review.

There are many ways to share Lenses (as shown in this guide) but for your purposes, I would suggest sending the Lens to him in a chat message or printing out the Snapcode and physically sending it to him on his birthday. There is no way to guarantee that only he will see it (as Travis hinted at) unless he promises to not send it to friends and you refrain from sending the Lens to friends.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

    Happy Creating,
    Kaitlyn
