Hey Hannes,
First let's tackle the problem of losing your preview panel. To me, it sounds like either your Preview Panel has been removed or is hidden. To add it back try one of two things:
1) First, select "Window -> Default Layout" from the menu bar. This will reset your window layout to Lens Studio's default.
2) If you're still not seeing the Preview Panel select "Window -> Panels -> Preview" from the menu bar. This will pop up a new preview. Drag the new preview window to anywhere inside Lens Studio to attach it to the editor.Next let's go over some tips for using the Picture Frame template. Note that for the Picture Frame template specifically, it's important to only make changes in the Inspector panel on the PictureFrameController object. For this template you can also completely ignore the Scene panel because the frame is procedurally generated at runtime. Don't make any changes to objects in the WorldObjectController. Remember the Picture Frame Template Guide should walk you through step by step how to get it working.
Happy Creating!
