Not all mesh faces are casting shadows
Greetings, I have exported an FBX from Maya made of a single Polygon mesh. The mesh is an octopus: Only its "suckers" are casting shadows in Lens Studio. Do you have any idea why this might be?
The only difference that came to mind is the suckers and the body are using two different materials: I tried creating a primitive with the body's material in Lens Studio: This is casting shadows just fine.
Any ideas how something like this could happen? Thank you for your support!
I am embarrassed how long this took me to solve. Despite the shape being a single Mesh in Maya and a single Object in the hierarchy, it had multiple Mesh Visual components in Lens Studio. I hadn't noticed and only set the first one to Caster mode. After setting them all as Casters, the problem is resolved.
