Pre-Written Animation Scripts?
First of all, THIS IS SO COOL!
Do you have pre-written animation scripts like bouncing, stretching, etc. that I can just copy and paste to make any mesh move?
Check out my first "test" lens! I'm so excited because I'm not even a coder, nor a 3D design person, but I think it's easy enough to figure out. I just need a little help with animation scripts. Or animating period. I export the Blender3D file as an .fbx, but have no clue why it's not animating when I import it.
Hi Cyrene,
So happy to hear you're as excited about Lens Studio as we are and that you were able to create your own Lens even with little coding and 3D design knowledge.
If you'd like to know more about scripting I highly encourage you check out our "Scripting Overview" guide. After checking that out you can look into the Scripting Example in the guides to make code that will continuously bounce a 3D object up and down.
Regarding your troubles animating the Blender3D file, please check out the "Playing 3D Animation" guide to animate your fbx file. Note that for 3D animation a lot of the work is done in the export and import stages to get the files ready to play.
Please do ping the community again if you have any other questions and we'd be happy to help assist. Thanks for reaching out and playing with Lens Studio - can't wait to see your Lens!
Cheers,
Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn,
Can you take a look at my animation speed post? I want to change the animation speed of my bug walk animation - https://www.snapchat.com/unlock/?type=SNAPCODE&uuid=636a5a09be5b40c78abcb1b39bf63381&metadata=01
Hey Dale! I also just posted how to integrate Tween.js with Lens Studio for simple animations:
