Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.
Still, we hear you loud and clear, and are logging the issue in case there's ever a workaround we can provide!

Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit); MacOS 10.11+

Hey Kishan,
Have you checked to see that your computer matches our system requirements outlined here?
If uncertain can you check via these OS specific approaches?
If you have a Windows machine, you can find your exact Windows version by following along here and other system information such as CPU, GPU, etc. (which you can find out by following these instructions for system information and these for graphic card specifications).
If you have a Mac, you can find your exact MacOS version, Memory and Graphics details by following the instructions here.
Let me know your configuration to see how we can help.
Best,
Kaitlyn
When I import my newest .fbx file the lens studio always crashes. I have the latest version of Mac OS so what do I do now?
Was there ever a solution found?
Hi Austin,
We worked directly with each of these people to resolve. I reached out to you in email, we will look into your issues as well.
Cheers,
Natasha
Hello. Im have a similar issue. I get the dxf in(out of blender, with all instructions followed), no errors in the logger. click on the mod and it just crashes.
All the best
J
Hi JD,
Happy to work with you offline to figure out why Lens Studio is crashing on your machine. Be on the lookout for an email coming your way soon.
Cheers,
Kaitlyn
Mine still hasn't been resolved. Let me know if you find anything jd
With our install and experianes, it only like Blender FBX files not Maya, and it only crashes if we select direct from the 3d window,,,so we avoid selecting from the 3d window until we have selected from the side panel. but its just trial and error.
Hey JD,
We'd love to into this issue further. Did you not receive an email from me/ Zendesk about this issue? Perhaps it ended up in spam.
Best,
Kaitlyn
Hello
Nope, nothing. I think one of our lot may have traced it down to topology in the base mesh before export and/or bone hierarchy. I can send you the FBX files caused it if you like . but as I said above, we have sorted a work round to it, so dont worry if not.
J
That would be helpful, thanks! I'll attempt to send another message to you, so that you can send the FBX there. Let me know if you don't receive it.
Thanks,
Kaitlyn

Hi Hanan,
What exactly is crashing? Your phone or Lens Studio?
Cheers,
Kaitlyn
same peoblem why not just anser the problem publicly
I have the latest version of my Mac and the app only crashes when I try a create a new template
I have Lens Studio 3.2 running on a Mac Mini 2018; 3 GHz 6-core Intel i5, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB. macOS Catalina 10.15.7
Lens Studio opens, tells me my project was not saved properly, but a backup was found. Whether I choose to recover it, or start a new project, or load the project through menu, Snap Lens thinks for a bit, then crashes.
I was able to open the file and work in it previously, and if it was only the one file I would figure the file was the problem, but the app crashes when I try to start a new project, too.
