    How do I get started making Lenses for Spectacles (2021)?

    To start with you’ll need to be running Lens Studio 4.0 or above. 

    Try out one of our Spectacles templates, or start a new project in Lens Studio. If you are starting a new project, go to Project Info and toggle on Spectacles (2021) in the Lens is Made For section. Then, click Apply. To see how your content will look on Spectacles (2021) within Lens Studio, select Spectacles (2021) in your Preview panel's simulation option by:

    1. Going to your Preview panel, and clicking on the selection at the bottom of the panel
    2. Selecting Spectacles (2021) as your device to simulate

    Then select a video or photo to see the simulated view.

    For the best results, we recommend testing out your Lens on a variety of preview videos, to see how it interacts with the environment and the field of view.

    • Copy and paste this text into your TerminalCommand Window
      open ~/Library/Preferences/Snap/Lens\ Studio/ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Snap\Lens Studio Copy Text
    • Press ReturnEnter to run the command. The Lens Studio folder will automatically open
    • Prepare to upload your files: zip the "Log" Folder by right-clicking and choosing "compress."
      Locate the Log.txt file right above it.

    Unfortunately, it's likely due to the operating system or hardware you're using – since they don't meet the system requirements for Lens Studio.

    Minimum Requirements

    Operating System: Windows 10 (64 bit); MacOS 10.11+

    Hardware: Minimum of Intel Core i3 2.5Ghz or AMD Phenom II 2.6Ghz with 4 GB RAM; Intel HD Graphics 4000 / Nvidia GeForce 710 / AMD Radeon HD 6450 or better; screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher
