Most likely the animation is there but it's not playing. First, to confirm that the animation did come in correctly, look at your imported object. Near the top of the object's hierarchy, you will see an object that has an Animation Mixer component.
Animations don't play automatically, you either need to script them to play or you can utilize the Animated Object Template to playback a simple animation.
