Colour hair
We're creating a lens where we'd like to change the hair colour. We've applied the hair colour change by using segmentation (as per the guide). However, on short hair it really doesn't work that well. It doesn't map to the hair too closely, you get kind of a glow around the head and it you also lose the definition of the hair - it feels like a colour mask over the top.
Is there another way to colour hair? We have seen a snapchat lens that applied hair colour really well, it was purple and black and had fangs and bat wings coming out of the side of the head. It mapped to the hair really well and also retained the hair texture much better...
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Darren,
The segmentation Hair texture is the only way to segment the hair. You can try adjusting it via the segmentation texture settings. Check out this guide under "Refine Edge" and "Smoothing":

Also, consider using a blend mode for the effect applied to the segmented hair. This will help the colors blend more naturally into the hair.
